Creating a Hub and Spoke Network

It helps if you think of a hub and spoke network as:

  • Hub is your branded website. You own this. No one, not Facebook, not YouTube can take this or your content or your customer database away from you. It is branded with YOUR logos and product images and header images.
  • Content Spokes are feeding INTO your social media hub. YouTube videos are embedded. So are Instagram photos, Visual. ly infographics. Spreadsheets from Google Drive. Scribd Ebooks. All come INTO your website from external content spokes.
  • Distribution Spokes feed OUTSIDE to your social media channels. Automatically updating Facebook and Twitter your blog posts from your hub. Allowing customers to Like your Page or share your content into THEIR networks. Sharing buttons, subscribe by email etc.
